It has certainly been a while, but I'm happy to say I've been able to put in a few hours of work lately into the long overdue TIE Fighter. While the progress has been minimal as of late, I can say I'm certainly excited to revive this project, in hopes of finally finishing it off in the near future.

In the most recent build, I've added a slight ridge around the 'arms' of the cockpit, along with what look like some form of latches. Perhaps to detach the arms for maintenance? Who knows, but it sounds like a great idea. In addition to this, I've also added some grebal to the sides of the cockpit, and the laser cannons right under the window.

As of this last build, I've been wrestling with the idea of when I should work on the finer detail across the cockpit 'ball' itself. There's a number of fine lines or groves cut into the surface of the finished model, but when I flesh those into my 3D model is still up for debate. Do I finish some of the larger aspects first? Or dive into and define those?
